Children are taught a variety of Sanskrit Prayers (Shlokas & Mantras) - Starting with Daily Prayers (early morning, bedtime, mealtime, etc), to specific Stotras for special occassions like Saraswati Vandana, Vishnu Stuti, etc., we cover Ganapati Atharvasheersha, ShreeRaamRaksha Stotra, Mantrapushpanjali and many more such powerful and effective Shlokas & Stotras.
Each prayer is taught with correct pronunciation and meaning of each word.
Subhashitas are short memorable verses in Sanskrit. Ancient and medieval Indian literature created tens of thousands of subhashitas covering a vast range of subjects.
At Gargi's Sanskrit Recitation Classes, children are taught subhashitas that are relevant to students and help them bloom into a righteous human being. Children also learn a few riddles (prahelika), jokes (vinodika) which raise their interest in learning the language.
The Language of Gods, The Language of Ancient Knowledge and the mother of many other languages – Sanskrit, is introduced through rhymes, stories and games. Children are taught simple concepts, vocabulary and small sentences in Sanskrit through conversations, themes and role plays.
All Hindu festivals are celebrated in the class in various ways, with a purpose to inculcate our culture and make the children learn the importance of rituals behind these festivals. The significance of each festival, rituals related to the festival and stories related to the festivals from Puraana are discussed with the children.
Sanskrit language is taught through a lot of Fun Activities – Coloring, Quizzes, Puzzles, Games, action songs, etc. Kids are also introduced to Ethics & Values through Moral Stories.
